He commands all people to repent

Time magazine has compiled a remarkable collection of photos showing the universal, world-wide search for spiritual healing. It is here. And it is heartbreaking. These photos brought home to me the hunger people around the world have for hope, for healing, for meaning.

It also reminded me that there are millions of people pursuing dead-end paths.

And God’s perspective is clear: ‘The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead’ (Acts 17.30-31).

Jesus said: ‘And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.’

Let us pray. Let us send. Let us go.
